Site Help

Welcome to the Roots of Country Music (RCM) Help Page. Depending on the type of web browser and screen resolution your computer is running, will affect the navigation of this site.

Some of the Links on the right side of the Home Page have drop down lists that are quite extensive. For example the link (Artists A~H) has 45 artist listed. Therefore you will need to Scroll to see the entire list of artists. You can do this by placing your pointer over Artists A~H and then Slowly move the pointer over to the first artist and Stop. Then toggle the Down Arrow on your keyboard until you locate the artist you want to view, then Click on that artist (Exhibit A).

Repeated pressing of the Down Arrow will continue to expand the list of artists (Exhibit B). Once you locate the artist you are looking for, simply Click on the Artist Name and that page will open. Follow this procedure for all of the links on the right side of the RCM Home Page.

Exhibit B

We try to keep the categories specific and topic related. For instance, if you are looking for information on a producer, navigate to the Producers link. Songwriters are listed on the Songwriters link. Anything to do with chart specific information will be found on the Billboard link. Musicians is the link for a list of  studio musicians.

Many of the links to the right of the RCM Home Page not only have a Drop Down list, but the link also has its own page. For example the link Hillbilly contains a list of Hillbilly singers, but if you click on the Hillbilly link, it will open a page that has a description of Hillbilly music.

You can search for information by Pressing the CTRL and F Keys on your keyboard. In order to fully benefit from this site, you will need to spend some time navigating through the various links.
