Great Female Singers of the 1970s
Country music in the '70s was an era that included many successful singers. Some of the biggest country artists of the decade were Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynnette, Lynn Anderson, Donna Fargo, and Connie Smith. While these artists enjoyed sustained careers, other solid singers of the era had only one or two notable hits and faded into undeserved obscurity, including performers such as Dottsy, Jody Miller, LaCosta, Lois Johnson and Sherry Brice.
